Tilt window

Window with flying mullion

Maximum view without mullion, first opening via tilt-and-turn sash.
The window has no mullion, allowing an uninterrupted view outside. The flying mullion sash is a turn-only sash and cannot be tilted. To open the window, the tilt-and-turn sash with handle must always be opened first.

Choose from three profile systems by the premium manufacturer Kömmerling:

• 76mm PVC profile (optionally double or triple glazing)
• 88mm PVC profile
• 88mm PVC profile with external aluminium cladding

All systems feature a stepped design, with 3 sealing levels and forward-facing drainage protected by cover caps.

1. Measuring window width

Measure the wall opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Select the smallest measurement and deduct the installation clearance as per table on each side (2x).

The result is the order size for the width.

2. Measuring window height

Measure the wall opening height in several places and take the smallest measurement. Deduct the installation clearance as per table once at the top (1x). If a window sill connection is planned, also deduct its height. If there is an existing roller shutter box, only deduct the installation clearance once.

The result is the order size for the height.

For the highest demands we naturally also offer the security classes tested according to DIN EN RC2 and RC2N. With this equipment, Entop windows have been intensively tested by independent testing institutes.

Most burglars simply smash the pane? Wrong! Only a few thieves break the glass, as the fear of noise and injury is too great. Nevertheless, it can be important to consider burglar-resistant glazing.

With our security glass, one or more PVB interlayers are located in the gap. The interlayers prevent breakage and make it significantly more difficult to destroy the glass.

• Laminated safety glass (LSG): Laminated safety glass with PVB interlayer single

For the handle colour option "matching", we will select your handle colour to match the surface according to the following scheme:

• Room side white / PVC → white handle
• Room side wood-effect or brown decorative foils → bronze handle
• Room side other decorative foils → silver handle

Of course, you can also choose your handle colour individually.

Use pre-fabricated installation holes to fit your windows simply and quickly.

Choose between lateral or continuous dowel holes in the frame.
Diameter of the holes 6 or 10mm.

The position of the holes is matched to the respective model and is shown as an example.

A window with patterned glass offers you the ideal solution to enjoy privacy while still letting in plenty of daylight.

Especially in the bathroom, Satinato glazing is very popular.

Whether Chinchilla or Mastercarre – these different patterns and textures give your window an aesthetic accent while also providing discreet privacy protection.

Your patterned glass panes are supplied as standard with the structure facing the cavity between the panes on the room side.

Before you order your window sill connection profiles, please carefully check your situation on site.

There are differences between window sill connection profiles in new builds and old buildings, as they have different structural requirements.

For old buildings:

• Application: Use these profiles when an existing external window sill is deeper than the internal window sill.
• Function: They compensate for the height difference and provide a tight seal.
• Details: Old building profiles often have an edge that is placed on the old window sill, and a silicone joint ensures sealing.
• Variants: There are different heights to compensate for various differences.

For new builds:

• Application: You use these profiles when installing new windows and window sills, often with insulation.
• Function: They create a tight transition between window frame, window sill and wall for thermal and moisture protection.
• Details: New build profiles are easy to install and are fixed directly to the window frame.
• Standard: There are standard profiles with a height of 30 mm, suitable for internal and external window sills.

Important: A careful inspection helps you choose the right profile and ensures you achieve a tight and efficient connection.

In summary:
Old building profiles help with height differences, while new building profiles are easy to install. Both protect against moisture, heat loss and draughts.

Non-floor-to-ceiling balcony doors start slightly above the floor and end at the height of the windows.

Floor-to-ceiling balcony doors extend from the edge of the floor up to the height of the adjacent windows and create a continuous and harmonious line in the room. This modern option not only provides comfortable access to the outside area, but also allows for maximum light entry thanks to the large glazed surface. They promote an open, bright atmosphere and offer a seamless and barrier-free transition to the terrace or garden. This access can be further improved by a floor threshold.

In summary: Floor-to-ceiling balcony doors are a modern solution which, thanks to their design, both visually enlarge the space and make access to the outside easier. Non-floor-to-ceiling variants, on the other hand, offer flexibility in room design and energy adjustments.

A floor base profile compensates for the height difference between the unfinished floor and the finished floor. It improves the stability of floor-to-ceiling balcony doors, both with and without a threshold. It also provides a thermal break between the interior and exterior areas of the floor structure and prevents thermal bridges.

From a height of 100 mm, the floor base profile is additionally reinforced with steel. Profiles of 30mm, 50mm and 100mm are combined to achieve the different heights.

You lock your front doors, but do you also lock your windows?

If a burglar manages to reach the handle through the gasket or the glazing, a lockable window handle can prevent the window from being opened.

If you choose the security package RC2(N), you will also receive a lockable window handle.

The windows will arrive on single-use or reusable transport racks “kerbside delivery” to your address in Luxembourg. For further transport to the desired installation site or storage, it’s best to have the support of a helper. The single-use transport racks remain with you.

Goods acceptance

Windows are bulky and require strong hands – ideally, one or two helpers should be at your side. This way, you can safely move your order to the right place.
