Installation Conditions for Biohort Products
If we are able to offer you installation, you will find this option available for the respective item. The installation is carried out by official, certified Biohort installation partners. In every case, you will receive an installation according to Biohort quality standards.
Self-assembly
Would you like to assemble your Biohort product yourself? No problem – with the detailed and well-illustrated instructions from the manufacturer, self-assembly is also straightforward.
Optimum Installation
Your Biohort products will be delivered by freight carrier to the kerbside. Unfortunately, installation on the day of delivery is not possible – you will therefore need to store the goods yourself in a weather-protected place until the agreed installation date. Of course, we will do our best to accommodate your preferred installation date in consultation with our installation team.
As part of the Optimum Installation, our service for you includes:
- The arrival and departure of the installation team
- Transport of the packaged Biohort product from your storage location to the assembly site (max. 25 metres)
- Assembly of your Biohort product including accessories such as floor frame or floor panel on your already completed, level foundation
- Special accessories such as SmartBase, SmartBasePlus or side roofs are excluded – you can book installation for these separately.
- Your foundation should be freely accessible on at least 2 sides (exceptions such as Neo and CasaNova, see below).
- The foundation must be constructed as described – for example, a concrete foundation must be fully cured by the installation date.
- You will need approximately 20m² of free space next to the foundation for working at the installation site.
- A storm-proof anchoring will be installed by us depending on the product and substructure. Please note: Anchoring is not possible on ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, garage roofs or balconies.
Comfort Installation
Want to take it easy? Then treat yourself to the Comfort Installation for your Biohort product!
Compared to the Optimum Installation, you get even more service and hardly have to worry about a thing.
This is what makes Comfort Installation extra convenient for you:
- Delivery goes directly to the installation team – you do not need to accept or store anything yourself.
- The team checks and stores your Biohort items professionally until the installation date (30 days included).
- On the agreed date, everything is delivered ready to your desired location.
- The installation team takes all packaging away with them and disposes of it for you.
Completely stress-free from start to finish – just enjoy when your Biohort is ready and in place!
This is what you need to prepare for all installations:
- The foundation must be prepared by you according to the specifications from Biohort.
see: Foundation tips Biohort - The appropriate aluminium floor frame or the appropriate SmartBase foundation must be ordered at the same time, otherwise installation according to Biohort quality standards is not possible.
Not included in the installation price:
- Sealing between the equipment shed and the foundation (optional for aluminium floor frame at extra cost)
- XPS rigid foam panels as a base for aluminium floor panels – available on request from the installation team
- Work such as levelling the foundation or longer transport routes (may be charged separately according to effort)
- Please check and organise all necessary building permits for your location in advance
- Collection of products from another storage location is also only possible by arrangement and at extra cost
- Removal and disposal of packaging material
Additional notes for special Biohort products:
Neo & CasaNova Garden Sheds
- There should be at least 70 cm of free space around the equipment shed.
- Directly pushing up against a wall or fence is hardly possible due to the high weight – please contact us if you have any questions about this.
- There must be no trees, shrubs, balconies etc. above the shed.
Installation of the SmartBase Foundation

- Only suitable for solid, firm substructures
- A slight slope (up to approx. 4 cm) can be compensated for using the adjustable feet, more only by individual arrangement
Installation of the SmartBasePLUS Foundation

- Please check in advance that the ground is compact and well-compacted – larger roots, stones or pieces of concrete could make installation more difficult.
- Excavate the area for the foundation to a depth of about 15 cm (preferably do not fill with gravel).
- A slope of up to 15 cm is acceptable – if it is more, please contact us in advance so we can find a solution together.
- It is best if you dispose of the excavated material yourself.
- For smooth assembly, we need approximately 50 cm of space around the foundation.
Legal Information & Non-attendance Fee
- Please ensure that the installation area is load-bearing and – especially for SmartBasePlus – free from cables and foreign objects. If you are unsure, please let us know before installation begins.
- All necessary permits and notifications should be available on the day of installation.
- Please understand that we cannot accept liability for any damage to the foundation, site or caused by rain.
- If the foundation or substructure is not suitable, obvious transport damage is not reported or goods are missing, a non-attendance fee of 500 euros (plus VAT) may be charged.
