Excess retained water drains reliably to the rear and bottom via the integrated recess. This means you can ensure healthy plants and a tidy environment at all times.

Flexible connection and linking options

Each bed has two connection options for the rainwater collector – top right and left. On both lower sides you will find outlets for dispensing water for a watering can or draining, and additional connections allow you to link several tanks together.

Installation instructions for rainwater columns

Fixing & foundation

Ensure your rainwater column stands securely on a level, load-bearing surface. A solid foundation made of paving stones, concrete slabs or a base slab provides the column with secure support – even when the tank is full. With a non-slip underlay, everything stays firmly in place. Make sure the column is aligned precisely so that water and connections function optimally. This way, you can enjoy a reliable and stable rainwater storage unit in your garden for years to come.

Does the rainwater column need to be emptied in winter?

Yes, all above-ground PE tanks must be emptied before winter. Otherwise, there is a risk that the tank will split in the lower section.

How to connect your rain column

This is how you connect your rainwater downpipe collector to the downpipe – quickly and safely. The integrated filter screen traps debris and reliably channels the collected rainwater into the collector.

When the collector is full, the excess water flows neatly back into the downpipe and can drain away.

Step 1

Use one of the three flat surfaces on the rear side to connect the downpipe conveniently.

Simply transfer the height of the centre of the opening of the selected surface horizontally to your downpipe – this way, everything will fit together perfectly!

Step 2

Make the first cut (L1) on the downpipe 85 mm below your marking. Place the second cut (L2) 300 mm above the first cut.

This creates the correct gap for connecting to the rainwater downpipe.

Step 3

Insert the rainwater collector into the cut-out opening. Then drill the desired flat surface of the rainwater downpipe with a 50 mm drill bit in the centre.

You can now attach the hose connector and push on the connecting hose shortened to 10 cm.

This allows you to connect the rainwater collector and the rainwater downpipe to each other in no time.

With the rainwater collector, you equip your downpipe specifically for efficient rainwater use. Installation is simple, following the fitting instructions, directly into the downpipe. An integrated filter ensures that larger dirt particles and leaves stay out – they are cleanly carried on through the downpipe. The all-round collection channel maximises your water harvest and directs the collected rainwater optimally into your rainwater column.

The system is virtually maintenance-free: as part of the winter conversion, you can clean the filter once a year if needed. When your rainwater column is full, the collector automatically diverts excess water back into the downpipe – keeping everything dry and preventing overflow.

You receive the rainwater collector including filter, collection insert, winter insert, matching connection pieces for the downpipe (outside diameter 75–87 mm or outside diameter 98–110 mm), a hose nipple, as well as all required seals and clear fitting instructions. So nothing stands in the way of precise and long-lasting rainwater use in your project.

Extension set

With the extension set, you can connect two above-ground rainwater tanks reliably and conveniently. The set, with a diameter of 50 mm and a length of 200 mm, ensures secure and efficient water equalisation between the tanks – ideal if you want to expand your storage capacity flexibly.

Installation is straightforward and creates stable connections for optimum use of your rainwater system.
